Recently Completed Projects

Crocheting and loom knitting have seriously become my therapy (next to writing of course) to de-stress and find a place of inner calm!  Also, it's really exciting for me to start out with just some yarn and a crochet hook and watch it transform into something completely different and new!  Any spare second I have in which my hands are free I pick up whatever project I'm working on and get to it.  It's my favorite thing to do at the end of a long day when Garret and I are sitting in our recliners watching TV, so much fun and truly very relaxing.  I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new.  There are some great website's out there that will teach you how in no time at all.

Here are some pictures of my most recent projects.  Most of them have links to the patterns I used.  A couple, however, do not because I made them by adapting other patterns.  If you're really interested in making those projects just drop me a line using the "Contact Me" form in my sidebar.

Erynn Ripple Blkt 2 Ripples Baby Blanket for Erynn

I have two other baby blankets that I've finished, one for my sister-in-law Ashley's baby (Abbie) and one for my sister-in-law Karyn's baby (Braden).  I made them using the "Bubbles Baby Blanket" pattern I found on the web, great pattern easy to follow and works up so well!  I made one for my sister's baby (Erynn) as well (pictured above).  I personalized each blanket by changing the color combinations to match the personalities of it's soon to be owners.  As soon as I get a chance to take pictures of them, I'll post them here.  I'm getting ready to start a fourth Bubbles Baby Blanket for my sister-in-law Tanya's baby (Tiley).  Any pattern that allows me to whip up a blanket for every baby/toddler in the family is thing of beauty!

Right now I'm working on an afghan for me!  It's the first thing I've ever really made for myself.  It's turning out a lot bigger than I initially anticipated, somewhere between a full or queen size.  I'm making it in black and hot (kick ass) pink.  It's about a quarter of the way done.  I really like the pattern I'm using, it's a variation of the ripple pattern I used for Erynn's blanket.  It works up really fast considering how big it is.  Additionally, I'm working on a couple of different baby/toddler sunhats in varying patterns and colors.
